SWANNANOA, N.C. Snapping a four–match winless streak, the Methodist men's soccer team earned a road victory against Warren Wilson on Sunday, marking the team's fourth win in non–conference play. The Monarchs trailed mid-way through the first half before a pair of goals put them on top.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cameron Lambert put two shots on goal in the first 15 minutes for Methodist, but both were saved by the Warren Wilson goalkeeper. After a save by Trey Gohr in the 22nd minute, the Monarchs conceded the first goal of the match in the 29th minute of play.
- In the final minute of the first half, Alex Ransom netted a goal that tied the score at 1–1.
- The Monarchs piled on the shots in the second half, reaping the benefit of their labor in the 66th minute, when Josh Mott connected with Angel Alarcon for a go–ahead goal. Alarcon's goal remained the last goal scored of the match, making it the game–winner.

- This is Methodist's first come–from–behind victory of the season. The team's first three wins were all shutouts.
- The Monarchs are 3–0–1 this season when they've scored multiple goals in a match.
