ROME, Ga. - Senior Carson Stretz dominated the pitch once more in 2026 with a score against Greensboro College during the Monarchs season finale, paired with women's soccer freshman Sydney Campbell, who scored her first collegiate tally versus Salem College (N.C.) to close MU's 2026 regular season, leading both to earn USA South Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week for their respective programs as announced by the conference offices on Monday afternoon.

This will mark Stretz's fourth honor this season as the USA South Men's Soccer Player of the Week, earning the accolade most prior on October 19th, 2026. Meanwhile, women's soccer's Campbell logs her first collegiate-career conference weekly recognition after her commanding performance to close out the regular season, with sophomore Kat Cardiff earning USA South Women's Soccer Player of the Week most recently on October 26th, 2026.

In a highly touted conference clash with playoff seedings on the line in the 2026 Men's Soccer USA South Conference Tournament, Stretz was able to convert versus Greensboro College with a score to begin the second half at the 46th minute, assisted by Alex Ramson as Methodist maintained possession with ease to open the second stanza. Stretz concluded the contest with two shots, both being on goal, with his one score and one assist throughout the entire 90-minute battle with the Pride.

Campbell led Methodist women's soccer to a roaring start that pushed the momentum in MU's favor throughout all 90-minutes of the ball game against Salem College (N.C.). Campbell marked out with a collegiate best six shots, all six being on goal paired with one assist in the first half and one score during the second period. Campbell was able to strike on Salem with sophomore Brynn Ludka drawing a free kick past midfield to send Campbell to drive in the attack zone to land her first collegiate-career goal and USA South Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week honors.
