Layla Weisenfeld extended her team's lead to four goals with a score inside the final two minutes of the first quarter. A minute into the second quarter,
Brooke Murrell joined in with a goal, followed by Weisenfeld and
Rylie Sturgill, who brought the score to 7–0 with eight and a half minutes left in the period.
On the other end of the field, King's began to create better offensive chances, scoring once inside the eight-minute mark and again with just over two minutes left before halftime. Methodist rebounded with two more goals in the final 30 seconds of the half — scored by Rabon and Weisenfeld.
Four different goal scorers produced for Methodist in the third: Rabon,
Anna Tabarrini,
Cheyenne Burton and Sturgill. On the other end of the field,
Amelia Fuentes blanked the opponents during her 15 minutes in net, recording a save on the only shot on goal she faced.
In the fourth, Sturgill, Tabarrini and Murrell all cashed in on one more goal each, while King's scored a pair of goals to make the final score 16–4.
