CARY, N.C. For the second time in three games, Methodist women's lacrosse posted a shutout victory, blanking William Peace University, 20–0, in USA South action Tuesday evening at WakeMed Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Methodist wasted no time taking control, erupting for 10 goals in the opening quarter while holding William Peace without a shot. Layla Wiesenfeld, Brooke Murrell, and Abigail Fritzsche each scored twice during the dominant stretch, while Rylie Sturgill, Jenifer Ferreira, Alana Rabon, and Cheyenne Burton also found the back of the cage to give the Monarchs a commanding early advantage.
- The Monarchs continued to build on their lead across the second and third quarters, adding six more goals to extend the margin to 16–0. Fritzsche led the charge during that span, scoring once in the second quarter and twice in the third. Wiesenfeld and Rabon each added another goal, while Julia Mundy recorded her first score of the contest.
- Methodist closed out the game with a strong fourth quarter, outscoring the Pacers 4–0. Sturgill, Fritzsche, and Burton each added to their totals, while Anna Tabarrini joined the scoring to cap the 20-goal performance.
