FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. Methodist Athletics had another busy Saturday with several teams competing in both home and road contests.
The Methodist women's lacrosse team dropped its second USA South Athletic Conference game of the season, falling 19–7 to Piedmont University at home. Freshman Alana Rabon paced the Monarch offense with three goals.

In men's lacrosse action, the Monarchs traveled to face Greensboro College and came up short in a 14–7 defeat. Seven different Methodist student-athletes found the back of the net in the loss.

The Methodist softball team split a road doubleheader against Southern Virginia University. The Monarchs claimed a 5–3 victory in the opener before dropping a 3–1 decision in game two. Senior Rachel Blanchard led the offense in the first game, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.

In baseball action, Methodist hosted William Peace University for a doubleheader and earned a sweep. The Monarchs exploded for a 10-run fourth inning in game one to secure a 13–9 victory before completing the sweep with an 8–1 win in the nightcap. Senior Ethan Golemo went 3-for-3 with three RBIs in the opener, while senior Israel Ortiz drove in three runs in game two.
