The No. 70-ranked Methodist women's tennis team saw its postseason run come to an end Saturday morning, falling to No. 55-ranked North Carolina Wesleyan University, 4–0, in the championship match of the 2026 USA South Women's Tennis Tournament at the Slick Family Foundation Tennis Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- With the match played to clinch, the 55th-ranked Battling Bishops took control early by securing the doubles point.
- N.C. Wesleyan claimed victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. At No. 3 doubles, Ajla Selimovic and Peyton McGahey defeated Katie Sechrist and Wilette Rivera Morales, 6–1. Shortly after, Andrea Elaez Miranda and Ivanna Torres secured the point with a 6–4 win over Caitlin Tihanovich and Helen Hofmann at the No. 2 spot. The top doubles match featuring Shea Bieniek and Emma Hulicki went unfinished.
