FAYETTEVILLE, N.C.  On Tuesday, the American Baseball Coaches Association and D3Baseball.com announced their 2026 All-Region Teams, with Methodist University junior Austin Rinzel earning recognition from both organizations, while junior Brandon Mauger collected All-Region honors from D3Baseball.com.
 
Following a historic junior campaign, Rinzel earned the first All-Region honors of his collegiate career after being named First Team All-Region by D3Baseball.com and Second Team All-Region by the ABCA. The Monarch center fielder started all 43 games and led the team in batting average (.472), hits (84), runs scored (63), triples (4), slugging percentage (.635), OPS (1.179), walks (27), and stolen bases (21).
 
Rinzel's .472 batting average broke a 42-year-old Methodist single-season program record, while his 84 hits ranked as the second-most in all of NCAA Division III this season.
 
Mauger, meanwhile, repeated as a D3Baseball.com Third Team All-Region selection for the second consecutive season. Primarily playing second base while also seeing time at shortstop, the junior appeared in 41 games and finished second on the team in runs scored (42), RBIs (39), doubles (14), triples (3), and stolen bases (11). Mauger also tied for second on the squad in both hits (54) and home runs (4).
