Bieniek Named USA South Rookie of the Year; Hulicki Earns First Team Honors

ROME, Ga.  Back on Wednesday, April 22, the USA South Athletic Conference announced its 2026 Women's Tennis All-Conference award recipients, with two Methodist student-athletes earning honors. Shea Bieniek was named the league's Rookie of the Year and also received All-Conference Honorable Mention recognition, while Emma Hulicki earned First Team All-Conference honors for the third consecutive season. Additionally, junior Caitlin Tihanovich was selected to the conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Bieniek, a freshman from Fayetteville, North Carolina, collected the first postseason honor of her collegiate career after an outstanding debut season. She posted an impressive 19–1 overall singles record, including a perfect 17–0 mark in dual matches and a 5–0 record in USA South play, competing primarily at the No. 4 position.
 
Hulicki, a junior from Raleigh, North Carolina, continued her consistent success by earning her third straight First Team All-Conference selection. She finished the season with an 11–7 overall singles record, including a 10–5 mark in dual matches while playing at the No. 1 spot. Against conference opponents, Hulicki compiled a 3–1 record.
 
Bieniek and Hulicki also teamed up throughout the season as Methodist's No. 1 doubles pairing. The duo recorded a 13–4 overall record, including a 13–4 mark in dual matches. Additionally, they went 4–1 against USA South opponents.
