FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist University's head women's volleyball coach Eddie Matthews announced the Monarchs' 2026 schedule on Tuesday. The docket features seven non-conference opponents, including two tournaments, three tri-matches, and 18 scheduled USA South Athletic Conference contests.
 
The season will commence at the Covenant Classic on Friday, September 4th against Covenant College, first serve being at 7:30 PM. The Monarchs will follow on Saturday September 5th against Rhodes College at Covenant, first serve is slated for 4:00 PM.
 
The following week will feature a slew of clashes in the Maroon Classic, with Methodist battling against Hollins University and Randolph College on Friday, September 11th, first serves being at 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM. The Monarchs will follow with early morning battles against Roanoke College and St. Mary's College (Md.), first serves of both contests are scheduled for 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
 
Methodist will commence their USA South slate through a 12-day stretch on Tuesday, September 15th at home, primetime, against Pfeiffer. The Monarchs will battle against William Peace University on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 PM. The following week Methodist takes on North Carolina Wesleyan University on Wednesday, September 23rd with a 7:00 PM first serve.
 
The Monarchs will compete in their first tri-match on Saturday, September 26th versus Greensboro College and Sweet Briar College, first serves slated for 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM. More conference games will accumulate with a road matchup against Meredith College on Tuesday, September 29th, before the Monarchs second tri-match at home on Friday, October 2nd versus Brevard College and Mary Baldwin University at 12:00 and 4:00 PM.
 
Methodist will conclude their slew of home games against Salem College on Wednesday, October 7th at 7:00 PM. The Monarchs will travel up I-81 to clash against Southern Virginia University on Saturday October 10th. Methodist will begin the week away from the Riddle Center, battling against the Falcons of Pfeiffer University on Tuesday, October 13th, with first serve at 7:00 PM. The Monarchs will return home, clashing against the Wildcats of Johnson & Wales University (N.C.) on Thursday, October, 15th at 7:00 PM.
 
The playoff push will commence as the Monarchs will travel to take on William Peace University on Saturday, October 17th at 5:00 PM. Continuing their road slate, Methodist will take on North Carolina Wesleyan University on Wednesday, October 21st, commencing at 6:00 PM.
 
The conclusion of October will feature a pair of home contests against Greensboro College on Saturday, October 24th and Meredith College on Tuesday, October 27th, serving at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM, respectively. The Monarchs will conclude their tri-matches at Brevard College, while competing against the Tornadoes and Mary Baldwin University on Friday, October 30th, with first serves commencing at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.
 
Methodist's season will wrap up in the Triad, competing versus Salem College at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3rd. The Monarchs finish the week off against Southern Virginia University on Saturday, November 7th at 12:00 PM, before awaiting the USA South Conference Tournament the following week.
 
The quarterfinals of the USA South Conference Tournament are scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th, hosted at seeds one through four, with times to be determined. The semifinals will be slated for Thursday, November 12th with the finals scheduled for Saturday, November 14th, all being hosted at the highest remaining seeds with start times to be announced.
