Anthony Irick is in his first year coaching with the Monarch staff and will be coaching defensive backs. A native of Orangeburg, South Carolina, Irick was a three sport standout at Edisto High School (S.C.) in football, basketball, and track. Irick began his collegiate coaching career as a student coach at Coastal Carolina University, coaching wide receivers. He graduated with a bachelors degree in recreation and sport management. In 2013, he was the wide receivers coach at Land O’ Lakes High School (Fla.).
In 2014, Irick accepted a position at St. Norbert College (Wis.) as the wide receivers coach and academic coordinator. During his time there, he coached one all-conference receiver.
Irick is the youngest of three children, which include one brother, Jarell Hampton, and one sister, Tonya Hampton. He currently resides in Fayetteville, and is the son of Virginia Hampton and Donnie Irick. Â
