Cory Dowless

Cory Dowless will be entering his second year on staff as the Offensive Line Coach after contributing to an indomitable Monarch offense in the 2013 season which ranked among the top offenses in the country. During last year’s stint, the offense amassed over 5,000 total yards and solidified their spot as the number two offense in the county. Dowless lead a young offensive line, which cut sack totals in half from the previous season, and coached a USA South first team All-Conference recipient.

Before joining the Methodist coaching staff, Cory Dowless played at East Carolina University. During his time with the Pirates he was a four year starter, seeing action in a total of 52 games (started 48) while earning All-Conference USA honors. He anchored an offensive line that led the Pirates to two consecutive Conference USA Championships and the 2007 Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.

Dowless, 26, is a North Carolina native. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from East Carolina University in 2010.
