Methodist University Athletics

Harrison Watts was promoted to Associate Head Athletic Trainer in the summer of 2026 after serving one year as an assistant athletic trainer at Methodist University. He currently serves as one of two athletic trainers for football, as well as the primary athletic trainer for men’s basketball and cross country/track & field. 

Prior to joining the Methodist sports medicine staff, Watts gained valuable experience working with Hoggard High School, University of North Carolina Wilmington, Duke Football, and a physical therapy clinic while completing his graduate education.

A native of North Carolina, Watts earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from UNCW in 2023 before completing his Master of Science in Athletic Training at UNCW in 2025.

Harrison is currently a Certified Athletic Trainer through the BOC and a Licensed Athletic Trainer through the NCBATE
