Riordan previously had served as an assistant coach with St. John's, Montclair State, SUNY Oneonta, Susquehanna and NYIT. Coach Riordan has had experience coaching all areas of the game and helped assist Susquehanna University into making the Landmark Conference Championship Game in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Kevin Riordan, was a member of  NY Tech's first D-II national title team, He was inducted with his 1997 teammates into Tech's Hall of Fame in 2017 — on the 20th anniversary of their national title.

Riordan began his collegiate career with Nassau Community College before playing two seasons with the NYIT Bears.

He later earned a bachelor's degree in sports management from St. John's. Hometown is Baldwin, NY and went to Baldwin High School.
