Troy Humphrey joined the Methodist men's lacrosse staff for the 2023-24 year.
Humphrey comes to Fayetteville after two years at Muhlenberg College. During his time at Muhlenberg, he worked with four All-Americans and 13 All-Centennial Conference players. His Muhlenberg teams made the Centennial Conference semi-finals each year, which includes hosting the programs first-ever conference tournament game, and were nationally ranked.
Prior to college, Humphrey coached various sports for 20 years at the high school level in New York. In his most recent stop at Chenango Valley High School (2018-21), Humphrey's teams earned a record of 26-12 and reached the Section IV finals during both playoff seasons, winning the school's first-ever Section IV lacrosse title in 2021. During his three years at Chenango Valley, Humphrey helped 13 players reach the level of playing college lacrosse, coached two all-state players, and one US Lacrosse Scholastic All-American.
In addition to lacrosse, Humphrey has coached several football, softball, and wrestling champions, including two New York State football championships at Susquehanna Valley High School.
Humphrey graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in physical education. He is married to Jessica and has two grown children Caleb and Phoebe.
