Allen Jeter took over responsibilities of Director of Athletic Training Services/Head Athletic Trainer in 2018 after serving one year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Methodist University. He currently oversees the administrative duties of the Athletic Training Department and serves as the primary athletic trainer for volleyball, men’s lacrosse and both men’s & women’s Golf.
Jeter graduated from State University of New York College at Cortland in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. While attending undergraduate, he worked with the Red Dragons’ men’s lacrosse team, cross country and the track and field team.
In pursuing a graduate degree, Allen graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in kinesiology with a concentration in exercise science. As a Graduate Assistant for the Lions, he worked for the football team and the men’s and women’s track and field squad.
Prior to being employed at Methodist, Allen served as an Associate Athletic Trainer and Assistant Clinical Professor at Sterling College in Sterling, Kansas.
During his tenure, he worked with a variety of sports including football, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, baseball and cheerleading. Allen also taught several classes in the Athletic Training Education Program and Exercise Science Program while serving as a Preceptor for the Athletic Training Education Program.
Before his tenure at Sterling College, Jeter served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. He served as the primary athletic trainer for eight teams during his two years there.
Allen is currently a Certified Athletic Trainer through the BOC and a Licensed Athletic Trainer through the NCBATE.
