WINCHESTER, Va. - Defending USA South Conference champion Methodist University kept its perfect women's soccer league record intact Saturday afternoon with a 2-0 victory over Shenandoah.

The Monarchs (7-5, 4-0 USA South) got a Jillian Reed goal off of a deflected corner in the fifth minute to provide all of the offense it would need against the Hornets (6-7-1, 2-2).

Midway through the second, Michelle Anderson fed Danielle Minichello for the visitors insurance tally.

Methodist outshot SU 16-2, including 8-0 in the second half. Kasey Nichols had two saves for Methodist.  Hornets keeper Kat Terza kept the hosts in it with seven saves.

MU also won all eight of the game's corners.
