Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Lynchburg Hornets scored a goal just before halftime before the Monarchs countered in the 65th minute. Lynchburg broke the tie with three goals in the final 20 minutes to win 4-1.
The Hornets (10-2-2) took the 1-0 lead on a goal with just 45 seconds remaining in the first half. The Monarchs (7-8) came back and scored an unassisted goal from senior
James Gunderson in the 66th minute. Lynchburg responded with the eventual game-winning goal six minutes later. They went on to score two more to take the 4-1 win.

Kyle Beach made seven saves in the game while Matt Sturdivant had six stops for Lynchburg.
The Monarchs will host Shenandoah Saturday at 12 pm.
