Box Score NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Methodist men's soccer team traveled to Newport News, Va. to take on nationally ranked Christopher Newport. The Monarchs fell 1-0 to the Captains.

Christopher Newport took five shots early in the first half before Nao Masuda slipped a deflection past Methodist goalkeeper Kyle Beach. The Monarchs finished the game with four shots, but could not even the score.

Beach finished the game with seven saves while Justin Wolfe had three saves for the Captains.

The Monarchs will take on N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday at 4 pm in Rocky Mount, N.C.
