GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team took a 9-0 shutout in their first USA South match over Greensboro College.

Methodist started things off with the 3-0 win in doubles. Kaitlin Flaherty and Shannon Vivian won 8-2 at number one and Lindsey Davis and Dana Powell won 8-2 at number two. Heather Brayton and Sara Altman picked up the 8-0 shutout at number three.

Flaherty won 6-0, 6-0 at number one singles and Vivian took the 6-3, 6-0 win at number two. Davis won 6-1, 6-0 at number three and Powell won 6-1, 6-0 at number four. Brayton won 6-0, 6-1 at number five and Altman won by default at number six.

Methodist moves to 6-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.  They will host North Carolina Central on Friday at 3 pm.
