BURLINGTON, N.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team cruised into the USA South Tournament semifinals with a 9-0 win over Greensboro College.
Lindsey Davis and
Dana Powell won 8-1 at number two doubles while
Heather Brayton and
Cameron Tinkham won 8-3 at number three.
Kaitlin Flaherty and
Shannon Vivian battled for the 8-6 win at number one to sweep the doubles competition.
Davis followed up with the 6-3, 6-0 win at number three singles before Flaherty clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at number one. Vivian won 6-0, 6-1 at number two while Powell won 8-0 at number four.
Brittany Britt won 8-5 at number six and
Sara Altman won 8-6 at number six to finish things off.
Methodist advances to face fourth seeded Peace on Saturday at 1 pm in the tournament semifinals.
