FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team dominated N.C. Wesleyan with a 9-0 win over the Bishops.
The Monarchs opened up with three quick wins in doubles with all three matches decided as 8-0 shutouts.
Kaitlin Flaherty and
Shannon Vivian won at number one while
Lindsey Davis and
Dana Powell won at number two.
Heather Brayton and
Cameron Tinkham won at number three.
Methodist kept up the strong play in singles with Vivian and Davis winning 6-0, 6-0 at number two and three respectively. Flaherty won 6-0, 6-1 at number one while Powell won 6-0, 6-1 at number four.
Sara Altman won 6-1, 6-4 at number five and
Brittany Britt won 6-1, 6-1 at number six.
The Monarchs will travel to Meredith tomorrow for a rescheduled match at 3:30 pm.
