PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - After the first round of competition, the Methodist University men lead the 36-team field with a score of 279 (-9) on the Ryder Course.

St. John's University (MN) is in second with an even 288 while Skidmore College and the University of Texas at Tyler are tied for third at 291 (+3).

Tom Cooper (Methodist) and Mitchell Fedorka (La Verne) both shot a 67 (-5) on the first day while St. John's Joey Palingo is in third at 68 (-4).

Round two will begin on Thursday with the first groups teeing off both the Ryder and Dye courses at 7:00 am.
