PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - Oglethorpe came from behind to win the 2009 NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Championship four strokes ahead of second place La Verne.

Oglethorpe won with a score of 1164 (301-284-290-289) while La Verne scored 1168 (292-283-302-291). Methodist finished third at 1171 (279-303-289-300) and the University of Texas-Tyler was fourth at 1184 (291-302-293-298).

Oglethorpe's Olafur Loftsson and La Verne's Mitchell Fedorka finished the fourth round tied at 285, but Loftsson won the individual title in a one-hole playoff. Rizal Amin of La Verne finished third at 287.
