DECATUR, Ga. - The Methodist women's soccer team took a 2-0 lead at halftime and cruised to a 3-0 win over Spelman College on Sunday afternoon.
Senior
Whitney Roberson opened the scoring in the 31st minute of play with an unassisted goal. Freshman
Beth Neal responded with another Monarch goal just five minutes later. Methodist extended their lead early in the second half when Roberson tallied her second goal of the game on an assist from senior
Ashley Kolano.

Kasey Nichols made five saves and
Sara Altman had three saves. Amanda Tyler had 10 stops for Spelman.
The Monarchs will travel to Shenandoah and Mary Baldwin next weekend to kick off USA South Athletic Conference action.
