Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Methodist built an early 4-1 lead before Shenandoah went on a late run with two goals. The Monarchs held on to finish with the 4-3 win in their first conference game of the season.

Shane Davis fed
Eric McGinnis for the first goal of the game in the 17th minute.
Brion Kelly scored on a penalty kick a little more than a minute later and Davis picked up a goal of his own in the 38th minute to give the Monarchs the 3-0 advantage at halftime.
Shenandoah got on the board with a goal in the 51st minute, but Methodist responded with their fourth goal in the 68th minute.
Clayton Newton found
Alex Ray for what would be the eventual game-winner.
The Hornets scored two goals in the final 15 minutes, but the Monarchs held on for the 4-3 win.
Adrian Acosta made six saves for Shenandoah.
Methodist will be back in action on Thursday when they host Barton at 4 p.m.
