RALEIGH, N.C. - Members of the Methodist University track and field team competed at N.C. State's Raleigh Relays Friday and Saturday to open the outdoor season.
Methodist junior
Kristyn Zeiler ran the 1500 meters in 5:01.20 and broke her own school record in the 5000 meters finishing in 18:25.85.
Freshman
Allison Ray competed in shot put and discus finishing 39th in the shot throwing 8.63 meters. She finished 51st in discus throwing 27.09 meters.
On the men's side,
Aaron Holmes ran the 400 meters in 51.96 seconds and Aristotle Nelson finished in 53.61 seconds.
The Monarchs will travel to the Liberty Invitational next Saturday, April 3.
