FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team won their 12th straight match on Tuesday with a 9-0 victory over Peace College.
The Monarchs (15-2, 6-0) swept doubles with three quick matches.
Kaitlin Flaherty and
Katherine Meindl won 8-0 at number one and
Dana Powell and
Heather Brayton won 8-1 at number two.
Jennifer Hamel and
Kelli Shelton won 8-0 at number three.
Flaherty kept things going with a 6-0, 6-0 win at number one singles. Meindl won 6-1, 6-2 at number two. Brayton and Powell won 6-0, 6-0 at number three and four singles respectively while Shelton and Hamel won 6-0, 6-0 at five and six.
The Monarchs will be back to host Shenandoah on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by Agnes Scott at 12:30 p.m.
