Box Score LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Covenant College went ahead just before halftime and added an insurance goal late in the second half to finish with the 2-0 win over the Methodist men's soccer team.

Covenant out shot Methodist 11-4 in the first half, but the Scots did not have a shot on frame until Hunt Davidson scored two seconds before halftime with the assist from Matthew Hudnut.

The Monarchs kept battling in the second half looking for the tying goal. With less than five minutes to play, Covenant was awarded a penalty kick and Julian Allgeier scored for the 2-0 advantage. Eric McGinnis and Stan Pajak added shots on goal late, but Covenant finished with the shutout.

Kyle Beach made five saves for the Monarchs while John Eger had four stops for the Scots.

The Monarchs will be back in action tomorrow when they travel to Piedmont for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
