Box Score SALEM, Va. - After 110 minutes of hard fought soccer, the Methodist men came up just short against Roanoke College.

Both teams had ample opportunities, but after 90 minutes of regulation, neither team had scored. Methodist goalkeeper Kyle Beach made four of his nine saves in overtime, but Roanoke's Michael Stark broke the stalemate with a goal in the final minute of play. Roanoke finished with the 1-0 win.

Roanoke out shot Methodist 28-15, but the majority of their shots were not on goal. Beach finished with nine saves while Avery Markel had seven saves for the Maroon.

The Monarchs will be back on the road next weekend with two games at St. Mary's College of Maryland.
