Box Score WINCHESTER, Va. - The Methodist (4-6-1, 1-1-1) women's soccer team took a tough 3-1 conference loss at Shenandoah University on Saturday.
Shenandoah (6-4, 2-0) scored the first goal of the game in the 28th minute, but Methodist's
Maeve Harper tied the game in the 29th minute on the assist from Danielle MInichelle. The Hornets came back and scored the eventual game-winner in the 33rd minute on a header from a corner kick. Shenandoah added an insurance goal in the 88th minute to secure the 3-1 win.
Sara Altman and
Sarah Hayden made four and three saves respectively. Kat Terza had three saves for the Hornets.
Methodist will be back in action on Sunday when they travel to Mary Baldwin for another USA South match-up.
