GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Methodist women's tennis team advances to the USA South Championship for the sixth straight year. The Monarchs have advanced to the championship every year since its establishment in 2006.

Methodist took the early 3-0 lead after doubles. Stacey Brooks and Laura Baker won the number three doubles match 8-0. Rachel Purser and Dana Powell won 8-2 at number two and Kaitlin Flaherty and Katherine Meindl won 8-1 at number one.

Flaherty won the number one singles match 6-1, 6-0 and Baker clinched the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win at number four. Purser and Meindl were still mid-match when the match was called.

Methodist will face the winner of Christopher Newport and Meredith on Sunday at  10 a.m.
