LaGRANGE, Ga. - LaGrange went ahead 2-0 and again at 3-2 before the Monarchs came back to win 4-3 and remain undefeated at 5-0 this season.

The Panthers (0-2) went ahead 2-0 early with a run in each of the first two innings. Matt Quick got things started for Methodist with a lead-off single in the third. Quick moved to second on a ground out and scored on Brandon Thigpen's single through the right side. Thigpen advanced on a deep fly ball and scored on Tyler Younger's single to right to tie the game at two.

LaGrange put together two big hits to lead off the bottom of the fourth and regain the lead at 3-2. The Monarchs managed just one hit through the fifth and sixth innings before rallying in the top of the seventh. Thigpen drew the lead-off walk and advanced to second on Such's sacrifice bunt. Younger doubled to right center to score Thigpen. Dustin Brown was hit by a pitch and Cody Molosky singled to load the bases. David Lutz was hit by a pitch to force what would be the game-winning run.

The Panthers left one runner stranded in the seventh, but otherwise, Rusty White pitched the final two innings retiring six straight batters to secure his second save of the season and the team's fifth win.

Younger finished 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI while Molosky went 2-for-4.

Andrew Womble pitched four innings while Michael Inman picked up his first win with two innings of relief. Rett Lee pitched a scoreless seventh to set up White to close.

The Monarchs will return to Fayetteville to host the Methodist Diamond Invitational Feb. 17-19.
