Box Score GREER, S.C. - Competing in its first neutral-site matchup since early September, the Methodist men's soccer team lost a non-conference game with Berry, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon.

The Vikings (8-4-2, 3-0-1 Southern Athletic Association) scored the day's lone goal when Samer Hajmurad took a pass from teammate Zak Wallingford and zipped it past a diving Nick Martens at the 14:04 mark. Berry would not relinquish that one-goal advantage despite being outshot, 12-7, by Methodist (6-6-2, 4-1-1 USA South).

MU's Nahom Hargwoin and Eric McGinnis each had four shots apiece while Hajmurad accounted for BC's two shots on goal.

Methodist goalkeeper Martens took the loss, making a single save. Berry's Logan Hill earned the win, stopping three shots. The shutout marked Hill's sixth this season and stretched his current scoreless streak to 334:52.

With its non-conference schedule complete, MU will close out its regular season with three straight conference matches at the Monarch Soccerplex. First up will be a Saturday showdown with LaGrange at 3:30 pm.
