HILTON HEAD, S.C. -- The Methodist women's tennis team opened its spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. with a 9-0 blanking of Marietta College on Monday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs turned in a dominant performance, winning four of their six singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Combined with three 8-0 wins in doubles, MU dropped just three sets the entire day in winning its third straight match and improving to 4-2 on the season.
 
Methodist will continue play in Hilton Head on Tuesday when it takes on St. Mary's (Md.).
