ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The Methodist women's tennis team breezed to an 8-1 win at N.C. Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon.
The Monarchs, who won for the 15th consecutive time, moved to 16-2 on the season, while staying perfect (10-0) in the USA South. N.C. Wesleyan now sits at 4-10 overall and 4-6 in league play.
Methodist set the tone with three easy wins in doubles, including 8-0 wins at Nos. 1 and 3, before winning 5-of-6 singles matches.
Methodist will wrap up regular-season play on Sunday at Christopher Newport beginning at 11:00 am.
