FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Methodist women's team won its eighth match in as many tries as it topped visiting N.C. Wesleyan, 7-2, on Tuesday afternoon.
Playing a day earlier than originally scheduled, the Monarchs (8-1) claimed five-of-six singles matches, including clean 6-0, 6-0 sweeps by
Isabella Graf,
Abigail Randolph and
Stephanie Hunter at No. 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
In No. 2 doubles,
Whitney Clark and
Linsey Gabris topped their competition by an 8-0 margin.
Up next for Methodist will be a home match against Connecticut College on Friday. Match play is scheduled to start at 3:30 pm.
