DANVILLE, Va. -- The Methodist women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 victory at Averett on Thursday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs (15-2) dropped five games the entire afternoon against the Cougars (0-9), all of which came in doubles play.
 
Methodist will return to the courts on Sunday afternoon as it hosts Meredith. Match play is set to begin at 3:00 pm.
