FERRUM, Va. -- The Methodist women's tennis team won at Ferrum, 9-0, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Monarchs (17-2) started the day by winning three doubles matches, including an 8-0 victory at No. 1 by
Laura Baker and
Abigail Randolph against the Panthers' (1-13) Rebecca Harbeck and Kyra Schultz.
In singles play,
Sam Munze claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Schultz at No. 3, and
Emily Talley defeated Kelsey Nicely, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4.
Up next for Methodist will a road match at LaGrange on Saturday. The action is set to start at 11:00 am in LaGrange, Ga.
