Box Score GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Methodist's men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season, falling to Greensboro 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
 
The match remained scoreless throughout the whole first half, and far into the second half. The Pride (3-4-0, 1-1-0) scored the lone goal of the match in the 81st minute when Rene Mendoza took a pass from teammate Shaun Watt and found the back of the net.
 
Greensboro edged the Monarchs (5-1-1, 0-1-0) with 12 shots to 10, with seven shots on goal to MU's three.
 
Methodist's Alex Rabone took the loss, making four saves on the day. Greensboro's Logan Rohde earned the win, stopping three shots.
 
Methodist returns to the Monarch Soccerplex this Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm to take on Piedmont.
