ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision at N.C. Wesleyan on Tuesday evening.

Methodist dropped the first two hard-fought sets by identical 25-22 scores. The Monarchs (9-8, 5-2 USA South) came back and won the third set handily, 25-14, before the Battling Bishops (3-12, 2-5 USA South) prevailed, 27-25, in the fifth and final set.

The Monarchs saw three different players reach double figures in kills, including a team-high 13 from
Cassidy Hayes.
Chyenne Pump added 12 and
Grace Crawford chipped in 11.
Maggie Harris had 46 assists.

Defensively, MU was paced by
Karly Klimas and her 23 digs.
Taylar Stafford added 14, and Pump completed a double-double with 14 as well. Klimas and Stafford also had two service aces apiece.

For the Bishops, Tori Stewart led the way with 13 kills, and Emily McLain chipped in 10. Samantha Morton and Beth Bradham each had seven kills. Kayla White finished with 23 assists.

On the defensive side, Christina Huber led the team with 28 digs, and Bradham had 15. Moron had eight total blocks.

Methodist is slated to play at Marymount this Saturday where they will take on the host Saints and Wesley.
