LAGRANGE, Ga. -- Senior
Karly Klimas became the school's all-time leader in digs and the Methodist volleyball team split a pair of matches at LaGrange on Sunday afternoon.
The Monarchs opened with a 3-0 loss to Huntingdon and closed the day with a 3-1 win over the host Panthers. Klimas entered play with 1,760 career digs and needed just eight digs to become the school's all-time leader. She etched her name in the record books with nine digs in the loss to Huntingdon, then added to her newly-minted record with 25 digs in MU's second match of the day.
Huntingdon knocked off MU, 25-18, 25-21, 26-24. The Green and Gold bounced back with a 25-19, 21-25, 25-22, 25-14 win over the Panthers.

In the loss to Huntingdon,
Cassidy Hayes and
Jordan Tew each had 10 kills, while
Brittany Ter Meer and
Ashley Beardsley each had seven.
Maggie Harris recorded 27 assists, and Klimas had three service aces. Harris also added 11 digs, while Ter Meer, Hayes, Tew and Beardsley all had a pair of blocks.

Hayes exploded for 23 kills with a .435 hitting percentage in the win over LaGrange. She is now tied for the conference lead with a hitting percentage of .323 on the season. Tew had 10 kills in the win, as did Beardsley, and Ter Meer added seven once again.

Harris toted 50 assists to go with 11 digs and a pair of blocks.
Alyssa Coffey had 12 digs and Tew had 10. Hayes finished with six blocks and Tew chipped in four.
The Monarchs will host William Peace on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in their final home match of the season.
