FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. --The Methodist volleyball team earned a pair of dominating 3-0 wins on Saturday afternoon at the Riddle Center. The Monarchs swept both Greensboro and Mary Baldwin to improve to 10-6 on the year, and 5-4 in conference play.

The Monarchs opened the day with a 25-16, 25-11, 25-21 win over the Pride, and followed that up with a 25-9, 25-11, 25-11 sweep of the Fighting Squirrels.

In the win over GC, Methodist hit .235 as a team, led by
Brittany Ter Meer and
Cassidy Hayes. Ter Meer poured in 15 kills and hit .406 for the match, while Hayes added 13 kills with a .444 hitting percentage.
Brittany Lewis and
Ashley Beardsley added nine kills apiece.
Maggie Harris racked up 41 assists and added 11 digs, while
Karly Klimas and
Jordan Tew each had a team-high 17 digs.

Greensboro had just 23 kills as a team, led by Meredith Summers' five. Breana Baker, Shayla Moss and Brandy Johnson each had four. Bari Tressler led the team with six assists, and Tori Belcher added 20 digs.

Tew led the offense in the win over Mary Baldwin, registering 10 kills as a balanced MU offense produced a .318 hitting percentage. Ter Meer had eight kills and Hayes added seven. Tew also had four service aces, three of them coming in a nine-point service run in the first set.

Harris had 25 assists in the win, and Klimas registered eight digs and a pair of service aces.

Mary Baldwin was limited to 16 kills as a team and committed 24 attack errors in the match. Katelyn Rice had four kills, and Reilly Kelly added 14 assists. Makayla Scott led the way with nine digs and Rice had seven.
