Box Score LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Methodist men's soccer concluded its 2015 campaign on Thursday afternoon, falling 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA National Tournament to host Washington and Lee University.

With the loss, the Monarchs finish with a 14-5-3 record overall, and the Generals will move on to the second round with a 16-3-2 season record.

After a scoreless first half, Victor Dolberg netted the game-winner at the 53:48 mark off a cross from Patrick Barry on the right side of the goal, and W&L went ahead, 1-0.

Five minutes later, the Generals gained a 2-0 lead as Lee Andrew Kim tallied an unassisted goal, dribbling around his defenders in front of the goal and beating Methodist's starting goalkeeper,
Alex Rabone.

Washington and Lee tallied its last goal at the 69:39 mark as Ben Bayles found the back of the net off a penalty kick.

On the day, the Generals held the offense edge, outshooting the Monarchs 15-6 and 6-5 in shots on goal.

Rabone took the loss, making two saves in all 90:00 for Methodist. Gillen Beck was awarded the win, making four saves in 83:09 before giving way to Connor Hayward, who played the remaining 6:51 and made one save.
