ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — The women's tennis team took on N.C. Wesleyan on Wednesday and were defeated 9-0.

In doubles play, Abigail Randolph and Emily Talley fought hard, but were edged by Rachel Hui and Sofia Gonzalez, 8-5. Riley Zopp and Davi Barbour were also close to grabbing a point for MU, but were eventually topped, 8-5.

With the loss, Methodist falls to 6-5 on the season, while the Battling Bishops improve to 3-2.

The Green and Gold returns home on Friday to compete against Averett University. The match is set to begin at 6:30 pm.
