MARYVILLE, Tenn. -- The Methodist women's tennis team cruised to an 8-1 win over Maryville on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Monarchs had little trouble with the Scots, taking all three doubles points in commanding fashion. Isabella Graf and Sam Munze blanked Kayla Lewis and Maddy Little, 8-0, at No. 1, and Vatrice Williams and Abigail Randolph, and Davi Barbour and Riley Zopp each produced 8-2 wins.
 
In singles it was more of the same as Graf cruised to a 6-1, 6-2 win at No.1, and Munze won, 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2. Randolph blanked Madison Reilly, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3, and Stephanie Hunter won, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 5. Williams posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6.
 
The Monarchs are back in action on Friday when they host William Peace at 4:00 pm.
