FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Methodist's women's tennis team emerged victorious, 9-0, over William Peace at the Gene Clayton Tennis Center on Friday. With the win, the Monarchs are now 11-5 on the season (7-1 USAS), while the Pacers fall to 2-11 (2-7 USAS).
 
In doubles play, Isabella Graf and Sam Munze defeated Kirsten Edwards and Abigail Nails, 8-2, at No. 1, while Emily Talley and Abigail Randolph topped Alexandra Dixon and Brooke Campbell, 8-1 at No. 2. In the third matchup, Vatrice Williams and Linsey Gabris teamed up to blank Sierra Wyse and Rachael Peoples, 8-0.
 
In the singles part of the match, Graf won, 6-1, 6-1, over Dixon at No. 1 and Munze routed Edwards, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. At No. 3, Randolph bested Nails, 6-2, 6-1 and Davi Barbour blanked Campbell, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. In the fifth matchup, Stephanie Hunter cruised by Wyse, 6-1, 6-1, and at No. 6, Riley Zopp grabbed a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Peoples.
 
The Green and Gold travel to Meredith College on Saturday to take on the Avenging Angels at 12:30 pm.
