FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Despite outshooting the visiting Saints of Marymount University 25-7, the Methodist men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Monarchs now stand 2-3-1 on the overall season while Marymount moves to 3-3.
 
The Saints recorded the lone tally of the match in the 14th minute on an unassisted goal by John-Paul Orozco.
 
Methodist put pressure on the Saints' defense in the last 18 minutes of the second half, tallying 12 shots, including two on frame.
 
Logan Cropper adds another win to his resume, improving to 3-3 after making two saves while Alex Rabone falls to 2-3-1 with Sunday's loss.
 
Methodist will host Christopher Newport on Wednesday evening beginning at 5:00 pm.
