GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team swept a conference doubleheader at Greensboro College on Saturday. The Monarchs dispatched the host Pride, 3-0, and followed that with a 3-0 win over Mary Baldwin.
Methodist (7-3, 2-1 USA South) made short work of GC, winning 25-7, 25-16 and 25-23 to open play. MU followed that with a 25-22, 25-20, 25-17 win over the Fighting Squirrels.

er Greensboro, MU hit .280 as a team and was led by
Jordan Tew's nine kills.
Brittany Ter Meer and
Cassidy Hayes had eight kills apiece. Hayes hit .533 for the match and Ter Meer posted a hitting percentage of .429.
Maggie Harris dished out 25 assists, and
Alyssa Coffey tallied four service aces.
Karly Klimas led the defense with 12 digs, and Tew completed a double-double with 10 digs. Ter Meer recorded five total blocks, including a pair of solo efforts.
Greensboro, which had 27 kills against 20 hitting errors, was led by Shayla Moss and Brandy Johnson, who had seven kills each. Bari Tressler led the team with 10 assists, and Tori Belcher posted 14 digs.
In the win over MBC, Hayes came up with 10 kills and continued her efficient offensive play with a hitting percentage of .318.
McKayla Walker added nine kills, and Tew chipped in seven with a trio of service aces. Harris totaled 26 assists.
Klimas and Tew each had 10 digs in the match, and Ter Meer once again led MU at the net with three total blocks.
Katelyn Rice had a match-high 11 kills to lead Mary Baldwin, and Jessica Hickman added six. Reilly Kelly had 24 assists, and Xenna Benfield led the defense with 14 digs.
The Monarchs are back in action on Tuesday at William Peace beginning at 7:00 pm.
