GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Methodist volleyball team closed out a USA South quad match weekend with a split of a pair of matches at Greensboro College on Sunday afternoon. The Monarchs opened with a 3-0 win over Huntingdon before dropping a 3-2 contest to LaGrange.

Methodist (7-15, 3-5 USA South) opened with a 25-16, 25-21, 25-21 win over the Hawks and followed that with a 17-25, 25-23, 26-24, 17-25, 15-9 loss to the Panthers.

Maggie Harris led the Monarchs against Huntingdon with 26 assists and she added seven digs and three aces.
Cassidy Hayes had 12 kills and
Brittany Ter Meer chipped in eight. Annabelle Ronellli and
Chyenne Pump led the Green and Gold with 13 and 12 digs, respectively.

Huntingdon was led by Kalen Morgan's 10 kills. Bria Rochelle and Audrianna Hargitt each had nine kills. Hargitt had 13 digs and Shelby Young added 11, and Devyn Stringer handed out 28 assists.

In the loss to LaGrange, Hayes and Ter Meer each came up with 18 kills. Hayes hit .405 and added three blocks and five digs. Pump had nine kill and 14 digs. Harris posted a double-double of 50 assists and 10 digs, and Ronelli led the way with 20 digs.
Autumn Elder contributed 14 digs and three service aces.

LaGrange got 21 kills from Maggie Ivester, and Lexi Hall and Samantha James each had 16. Lauren Sanders added 31 assists and Libby Compton had 24 as the duo split the setting duties. Sanders and Compton had 12 and 10 digs, respectively, to complete double-doubles, and Sterling Autumn led the team with 19 digs.

The Monarchs are back on the court on Wednesday when they play at Meredith beginning at 7:00 pm.
