FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- The Averett volleyball team hit .393 for the match in producing a 3-0 win over the Monarchs on Tuesday evening at the Riddle Center.

Hannah Shields and Sarah Smoot had 15 kills apiece as the Cougars improved to 22-9 overall and 13-0 in the USA South with a 25-17, 25-16, 25-9 win. Methodist now sits at 7-21 overall and 3-10 in league play.

Cassidy Hayes led the Monarchs with nine kills and
Brittany Ter Meer added seven as MU was held to a hitting percentage of .067.
Maggie Harris had 19 assists and
Annabelle Ronelli led the defense with 14 digs.
Alyssa Coffey and
Sydney Schmeltzer each added eight digs.

Keenan Marks led Averett with 32 assists and Emily Stanley had 11 digs. Marks and Brianna Williams each had nine digs, and Madison Dadez had three total blocks.
